AUNTIE ANNIE'S DEATH BY CHOCOLATE

AUNTIE ANNE'S CHOC PRETZEL
I told my colleagues that I had had it for the day, even it was merely 1pm. I woke up pretty early in the morning so by 1:00pm I was pretty exhausted. I was looking for a friend to accompany me for lunch and one of my colleagues said that he had this meeting in town. I told him I will accompany him to this meeting and if he accompanied me for lunch. DEAL
At the time I thought the meeting was short. However, I was wrong and it dragged for a few hours. I had no clue what to do. So I strayed for food! Well, we had lunch first and then he took off for that meeting. Yep, I did strayed....one shop after another, I found Auntie Annie's pretzel. I decided to go for desserty type pretzel. I had this chocolate pretzel before, but this time...the world stopped. I had one, then another one, the another one....until someone stopped me and asked,"Are you malay?". For a moment there I forgot what race I am ha ha. Darn...I am a sucker for good things...I didn't answer her right away...she probably thought that I was some other races...I told her "Yes, I am Malay from Malaysia". She looked at me puzzled as I ignored her and continued to indulge..

TURKISH COFFEE ANYONE?

(Click on this pic to go to where I got this pic from so that the owner of this web will not effing sue me *winks* but actually may have to pay me money for promoting the outlet)
To be honest, I am not the number 1 fan of Middle Eastern Food, however, I am a pig when it comes to food. So, don't pay attention to my -ve remarks. I eat them anyway, and eat them A LOT ;-). In this blog, I am not going to ramble about food. I am fascinated about the little fine things in life; COFFEE, right after dinner. It is heavenly!
A friend called me up and invited me for dinner to Tarbush Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid. I concurred and went there right after work. When I arrived they have already took the liberty to order and I certainly didn't mind that at all.

I ate heartily (as usual). There were meat, rice, bread, more meat he he, drinks, dessert and finally COFFEEE!!! (and cigarette of course).

TURKISH COFFEE-POURING WITH AMAZING AROMA
TURKISH COFFEE-THE POT

The pot for the coffee (see above pic) fascinated me the most. Well, of course I enjoyed the coffee. It was an experience that brought me 'away' from this world and almost a different kind of 'high'. No, I am not talking about drugs here, the real coffee! The aroma was amazing.

TURKISH COFFEE
The ambiance??? Superb! This restaurant though located in a Shopping Mall, once you get to the 'balcony' you will feel like you are dining in a 'Mansion' somewhere overlooking a castle. Well, in this case you will see the beautiful lights of Sunway Pyramid Resort Hotel.
TARBUSH RESTAURANT @ SUNWAY PYRAMID

Is this good enough to tease you to become a coffee drinker????? Ok I am not going to spoon feed you on the restaurant's info bla bla bla...google em yourself ;-)

Happy Drinking Coffee!

KARI KEPALA IKAN (FISH HEAD CURRY)

I used to cringe whenever I heard Fish head curry. An ugly married man used to hassle me to go out for lunch with him to a Fish Head Curry Restaurant at my hometown. I felt traumatized he he. (well, I couldn't help thinking about his ugly head as a subtitute to the fish head..ewwwwww.....Stop!!!!)
Yeah, for no apparent reason, I despise that word "Kari Kepala Ikan". Years after...I was introduced to this place at Jalan Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur. I was hooked. Simple place but I guess when good food is around, people don't really give a s*** about the surrounding...hmmm.... It's under some big trees at the road side (classy ha ha).
You must eat this meal the local way, yes eat with your hand, then you can really ENJOY the experience and of course the deliciousness of this curry. Afterwards leaving your hand with aroma from heaven ;-)
It's not cheap yet not too expensive. If you ever want to get to this place for lunch, go there early. There is always a long line and not enough table around.

SO MANY SHOES!

As I was browsing through what's happening to the "budget" people shopping places in Kuala Lumpur, I stumbled upon this T-Shirt that said something about most women in this world.

I had to have a shot of this.

My sister was giggling when I showed her the T-Shirt.

My mom refused to acknowledge the message.

My dad just laughed away.

No comment from the other members of the family...yet.

No, I didn't buy the Tee.

Still love the message though ;-)
