VICIOUS CYCLE

For a while now I have been quiet and loving the serenity. However, lately a few people that I know from distant past had been trying to get in touch with me, allegedly to find out what I am up to these days. Some I reciprocate and some I just turned down gently, I hope. One of them (lets name this person "Q") asked me, "Do you remember one day we had the conversation about things that you did not want to know but you would find out anyway and about vicious cycle?" and I answered, "vaguely, well accept for things that I do not want to know and people tried to hide from me and one fine day kbloom its in my face...ya...why?". Q quickly said' "Yaaa... I just want to say I am sorry I doubted you..they all came true and happened to me. Go on, say I told you so..I deserve it!" I gulped the slowly asked Q,"Have you stopped the cycle and made amends?" Q answered, " I am starting with you". I froze. I felt like Nostradamus for a sec there. All the memories of that conversation sort of did multiple playback on me. I told Q that Q has done nothing wrong to me and need not apologize but I apologized to Q just in case...I asked Q to evaluate the situation and make amends to the people involved and to call me back when its done. Q did call back a couple of months later and said the vicious cycle stopped. I was relieved.

After a long stare into an empty space I decided:

1. NOT to ignore good advice no matter how bad the adviser was at the time.
2. NOT to completely dismissed someone's theory (good and bad) but to take some time to sit back and think about it, only then decide whether to dismiss or not.
3. Forgive people even when they don't forgive me..on that note; guys anyone of you who read this and know me in the past/present and if I have hurt you in ANY way...please...I apologize!
4. Stop doing things that I don't want others to do to me
5. To be more grateful with what I have in life.
6. To REALLY give it to the needy...not the greedy.
7. To take BAD things that happened as lessons learned..for real
8. To do more good than bad

I think that should be cool for now. And to those who realized I stopped doing certain things which I had done in the past..you know why ;-)

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND EVERYONE!

42 YEARS, STILL ALIVE AND KICKING!

I woke up and hit the treadmill until I reached my 3km quota. My BB was overwhelmed with Birthday wishes from FB, Twitter and text messages since midnight. I felt loved and like a super celebrity for the day. I have no plan for today thinking having no plan is a plan. There was a brief blackout but it didn't faze me not even a little bit. I had 2 cups of coffee and they woke me up pretty good. I did have a boy short haircut yesterday and I wasn't even worried, but the hairstylist was very worried and almost refused to cut my hair, "It won't look nice!" and I told her, "I don't care!" Yup, nice was not the reason why I sought for the haircut anyway. I walked out of the cheap haircut place and felt brand spanking new plus totally rejuvenated! How amazing a simple haircut can do to me. So today is a stay home day doing absolutely fark all. I loved it!

Naturally, I couldn't stay still and do fark all for long. I had to go through old albums and boy there were some fancy pictures I have! I thought I was going to get soppy and cry but I was literally smiling and laugh at some of the bad hair, bad make-up with bad duran-duran era outfits pics. I put the albums back and procrastinatingly thinking that I will have all that scanned one day. I cooked some simple meals and happy to watch some original Hawaii five O reruns on TV.

Oh snap, just what I needed: Oprah with Terry Hatcher, Cybill Sheppard and Linda Evans spoke about 'aging'. Then I was glad I watched that show and for sure I want to look as great as Terry Hatcher when I'm 45 ha ha! And of course big salute to Miss Hatcher on her bravery for posing without any make-up on!

Seriously, I feel nothing but the utmost grateful to God and love ones for taking me this far.

To my Muslim friends I wish HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have my new resolutions aligned and I hope you guys have yours too.

Thank you my family and friends for the birthday wishes and made me feel like a celebrity for today. Love you all and as the gossip guru Richard Reid said, "You guys are SUPERSTARS!"

6TH RAMADHAN - ASAM PEDAS

16 August 2010, 6 Ramadhan 1431H

On the 6th Day of Ramadhan, a good friend texted me to find out whether I was free for breaking fast. I said yes. A few yays later I made the reservation for 5pax at Asam Pedas restaurant, The Curve , Mutiara Damansara. We went to this place last year. So we decided to return for a great food and chat. Out of respect for Ramadhan, I am not going to post any 'raunchy' food pics plus, this Ramadhan, I have not indulged in over eating and over buying food for breaking fast. It's a good sign I supposed. Asam pedas is just a small outlet across Royal Bintang (asam pedas is a part of Royal Bintang) offering reasonable buffet spread. It has pretty simple menu accentuating on Malay food. If you are looking for a non boasting place and reasonably priced quality food, this is a place to be at. Perfect for modest Ramadhan. Courteous staff with genuine smiles. My favorite dish was of course the Asam pedas, but this time the Lamb Masala and Lemak Pucuk Ubi were the star dishes. Call ahead for reservation as I mentioned this place is quite small. I provided links to the curve in this blog. If you are interested click on the colored words and the world wide web internet jingy majingy will guide you to the rest..Again, Selamat Berpuasa and Selamat Berbuka :) go easy on mr and mrs tummy :)

HAPPY RAMADHAN & SELAMAT BERPUASA

This year, I am anticipating Ramadhan more than usual. I don't know why. It is just a gut feeling. It is supposed to be good. We'll see how it went next month. I do'a the best for all the Muslims in this universe. I am taking this opportunity to seek for forgiveness from: everyone!
I hope this Ramadhan will bring us humility and the motivation to do good to cleanse our soul. There are enough evil and baddies in this world, I think this is the best time to take a step back and pursue pure goodness in ourselves. How 'bout that huh?

Happy fasting everyone! God bless!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABAH (64)

On 20th July 1946, my dad was born in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Yes, 64 years ago! A humble man and very down to earth. Served our country for 30 years with impeccable record and retired now.

I called him up this morning and he sounded as cheerful as ever.

When I heard his voice this morning, my heart felt soothed and happy.

A couple of years back, I wrote these blogs: Happy Fathers' day and HAPPY 62 ABAH. There were quite a few people were touched by it.

This year I have another list to thank you:
Thank you for trying to save me from debts and hardships even when I should be able to support and take care of myself.
Thank you for being there when no one else ever offer me the support, yours and mom are more than sufficient.
Thank you for being with Mak (Mom) until this day.
Thank you for taking care all of us (Haleal, Hakim, Ita and I)
Thank you for all your do'a and prayers for our well being.

WE LOVE YOU!

This weekend we will celebrate.

Well Abah, HAPPY 64th BIRTHDAY and I'm the luckiest person in the world for having such a wonderful dad!!!! I also thank God almighty Allah for giving you great health and happiness. Amin
