Wishing everyone a very happy new year 2026!

I am grateful to see another day. Though I'm having a terrible cough since 2 days ago, I am still grateful to be able to move around and do some chores. Late 50s come with some health challenges but nothing I couldn't handle so far. Subuh prayer was on time and I hope I will be able to keep my prayers on time. 

What do I want to achieve this year?

Last year was quite a mess. I was so side tracked and didn't even achieve 5% of my resolution. Semua kelaut! 

So this year I hope for a better year.

I'm still upset with what's going on in the world today. The war: bombing innocent civilians including children, animal abuse/neglect, Islamophobia and non-sustainability habits.

I wish things will be better in 2026. I wish for kindness outweighing evils.

I wish the best for everyone 💚

MINOR EARTHQUAKES IN MY HOMETOWN

 

Yes, recently there were minor earthquakes in Malaysia (unheard of right?). And guess what? of all the places they happened in my hometown: Segamat. The first jolt (24th August 2025), I felt it, my brother and SIL also felt it. It was at 6:13 am. Some were praying the subuh prayer. I was scrolling through my phones and cyclops was next to me when it happened. Then immediately after a few people messaged me and asked what happened. A few minutes after we got the information that the 1 sec jolt was an earthquake of 4.1 magnitude on Richter scale. Pretty weak but that was my 1st time ever experiencing such a thing....really....I felt a little scared. Then of course life moved on. Later that day we found out that another jolt was felt at 9:00am. To date, there were 6 earthquakes in Segamat within a week. The 7th one occurred in Batu Pahat:

1. Sunday, 24 August 2025, 6:13am: Coordinate: 2.5° N dan 102.8° E, Magnitude: 4.1, Depth: 10km, Distance: 5km west of Segamat. 💥
2. Sunday, 24 August 2025, 9:00am Coordinate: 22°N and 103.1° E, Magnitude: 2.8, Distance: 28km Northwest from Kluang, Johor, Depth: 10 km
3. Wednesday, 27 August 2025, 8:59am: Coordinate : 2.33°N and 102.79° E, Magnitude : 3.2, Distance: 18km South from Segamat, Johor. Depth : 10 km 💥
4. Thursday, 28 August 2025, 7:56pm: Coordinate : 2.6°N and 102.8° E, Magnitude : 2.5, Distance: 13km North from Segamat, Johor. Depth: 10 km 💥
   
5. Friday, 29 August 2025, 4:24am : Coordinate: 2.7° N and 102.9° E, Magnitude : 3.4, Distance: 22km Northeast from Segamat, Johor. Depth: 10 km
6. Saturday, 30 August 2025, 7:29am, Coordinate : 2.5° N and 102.8°E, Magnitude : 2.7, Distance: 2km Northwest from Segamat, Johor. Depth: 10 km 💥
7. Sunday, 31 August 2025, 1:57pm: Coordinate: 1.733° N and 102.733°E, Magnitude: 2.9, Distance: 19km SW Batu Pahat, Johor
