When I read the news on Yahoo today, I felt sad. Heath was one of the very rare actors who seemed to have those 3Cs we all want to have; Calm, Cool and Collective. It's sad that he died at a young age. Then again, at this side of the Globe, I don't know jack about the Hollywood celebrity world. I liked him on "10 things I hate about you". Some of the scenes really made me cry. At the time when I first watched the movie, I thought he had this different look of a typical Hollywood heartthrobs. When I found out that he was an Ozzie, I was like,"ooo, that explains why he looked and talked different". Don't get me wrong, its a good 'different'. I respected the fact that Hollywood gave Oz a chance. Judging from all the movies that he'd been in, I really think that Heath was a very careful actor. He did not simply play the role he didn't like/want. He wasn't greedy. I am sure after his phenomenal role on "Broke Back Mountain", he was the HERO amongst the gay community and sure roles were rolling onto his doorstep. I am guessing, he was picky. Almost 'silently' he was my HERO. I seen most of his movies, no doubt there were some shady ones but I thought he pulled some of the shadiest role amazingly, like in "The Order". He was too cool in there, but the film didn't fly.
In the next few days, I will dig some of his movies and re-watch them. Good bye Heath! Rest in Peace!
