SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI! 1 SYAWAL 1431H

Time really flies when you are having fun :) What am I blabbering about? Time flies period! I feel like I just celebrated Syawal of1430 last month..O well..So far, Ramadhan has been really quiet and peaceful for me. I like it :) This Hari Raya, I told my mother not to make anymore baju kurung for me. I have too many baju kurung that I hardly wear. My clothes hanger collapsed the other day. It's a sign..stop all clothes shopping!

I am taking this opportunity to wish all my friends and relatives SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI. MAAF ZAHIR BATIN!. I seek forgiveness from all of you. To those who will be driving this Hari Raya, please becareful and drive safely.

Enjoy the holiday!

6TH RAMADHAN - ASAM PEDAS

16 August 2010, 6 Ramadhan 1431H

On the 6th Day of Ramadhan, a good friend texted me to find out whether I was free for breaking fast. I said yes. A few yays later I made the reservation for 5pax at Asam Pedas restaurant, The Curve , Mutiara Damansara. We went to this place last year. So we decided to return for a great food and chat. Out of respect for Ramadhan, I am not going to post any 'raunchy' food pics plus, this Ramadhan, I have not indulged in over eating and over buying food for breaking fast. It's a good sign I supposed. Asam pedas is just a small outlet across Royal Bintang (asam pedas is a part of Royal Bintang) offering reasonable buffet spread. It has pretty simple menu accentuating on Malay food. If you are looking for a non boasting place and reasonably priced quality food, this is a place to be at. Perfect for modest Ramadhan. Courteous staff with genuine smiles. My favorite dish was of course the Asam pedas, but this time the Lamb Masala and Lemak Pucuk Ubi were the star dishes. Call ahead for reservation as I mentioned this place is quite small. I provided links to the curve in this blog. If you are interested click on the colored words and the world wide web internet jingy majingy will guide you to the rest..Again, Selamat Berpuasa and Selamat Berbuka :) go easy on mr and mrs tummy :)

HAPPY RAMADHAN & SELAMAT BERPUASA

This year, I am anticipating Ramadhan more than usual. I don't know why. It is just a gut feeling. It is supposed to be good. We'll see how it went next month. I do'a the best for all the Muslims in this universe. I am taking this opportunity to seek for forgiveness from: everyone!
I hope this Ramadhan will bring us humility and the motivation to do good to cleanse our soul. There are enough evil and baddies in this world, I think this is the best time to take a step back and pursue pure goodness in ourselves. How 'bout that huh?

Happy fasting everyone! God bless!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABAH (64)

On 20th July 1946, my dad was born in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Yes, 64 years ago! A humble man and very down to earth. Served our country for 30 years with impeccable record and retired now.

I called him up this morning and he sounded as cheerful as ever.

When I heard his voice this morning, my heart felt soothed and happy.

A couple of years back, I wrote these blogs: Happy Fathers' day and HAPPY 62 ABAH. There were quite a few people were touched by it.

This year I have another list to thank you:
Thank you for trying to save me from debts and hardships even when I should be able to support and take care of myself.
Thank you for being there when no one else ever offer me the support, yours and mom are more than sufficient.
Thank you for being with Mak (Mom) until this day.
Thank you for taking care all of us (Haleal, Hakim, Ita and I)
Thank you for all your do'a and prayers for our well being.

WE LOVE YOU!

This weekend we will celebrate.

Well Abah, HAPPY 64th BIRTHDAY and I'm the luckiest person in the world for having such a wonderful dad!!!! I also thank God almighty Allah for giving you great health and happiness. Amin

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE - JAKE AND AMIR

My new entertainment on youtube: Jake and Amir the two hilarious BFF. Maybe I discovered this a little late since Jake and Amir started in 2008 (or maybe earlier...) with collegehumor.com. Nevertheless I laughed my a** off to their vidz. Some of their jokes remind me of Seinfeld and The Simpson..even some sketches on SNL. On a stressed out day, these two BFFs may be able to put a smile on your face..that if you can 'dig' their jokes that is ;-)

OLD MEMORIES IGNITED

O..no..this is not a romantic blog..I don't do "romantic", sorry. But when I heard that I was supposed to handle an event and I was given only ONE, numero UNO week my heart just dropped. Can I pull this off? In my head there were millions of things going on in one shot I could hardly breathe...The only good thing that went through my mind was, "Hey! I get to see my OLD school (1983-1985 and thats really old)!". All of a sudden I was motivated! I was also motivated with the great food that I had not tasted in a darn long time.

On the 27th May,2010 my colleague and I made it down to this little town used to be known as Bandar Maharani (Queen's City). Now it is called MUAR! It took us approximately 2hours+ driving there from Kuala Lumpur. As we approached Tanjung Agas where my OLD schoold is, a sense of 'proudness' started to creep in. I went slowly and glanced..WOW Sekolah Menengah Sains muar is looking good! A lot of GOOD people came out of this school like ME! Bwah! Hah! Hah! (Psst..my ex schoolmates please cheer).

My colleague suggested we grab a bite to eat before our appointment. I was not THAT hungry but as soon as I saw the "Mee Bandung" and the succulent looking Satay..I literally pigged out. I also took the opportunity to buy sh**loads of 434 coffee. One of the best coffees I have tasted in this entire planet ;-)

We quickly did what we had to do (click on this blog)--> Mee Bandung Sireh Junjung
then headed back to KL.

1st June we went back to Muar to do last minute preparations before the event. As we tried to check in into a hotel and as I predicted I would have a little falling out with the hoteliers..not worth to mention the reasons in here...so we moved hotel LOL.

The next day it was crazy setting up and rehearsal. It was a "fire-fighting" day. Some printing mishaps, glasses shattered, insufficient decors, last minute changes..yada yada yada...However, thanks to my colleagues, we pulled through. On the 3rd June, the event went well and I was proud to be a part of (in a smallest way) the new court house in this small town. The guest of honor also mentioned this event in his blog ---> Majlis Penyerahan Kompleks Mahkamah Muar
Briefly talked to him and as long as he was happy and as the rest of the VIPs..my job was done...

I wish I had the time to visit my school though. As I was driving back, I glanced again at the school. I smiled as I was thinking about all the great times I had in that school. To ex-SMS Muarians, I miss you guys and we should call for a reunion soon.
